Portable fans are not only great for decorating, but they are also useful on a hot summer day. You don’t need to spend the money to buy a pocket fan in a store. Instead, you can make your own fans using origami techniques. Start with a good square piece of paper that has a nice decorative feel. Fold about 1 cm of paper on one side and then turn the paper over.

Once turned over, fold another 1 cm of paper on the same side. Make sure the edges of the folds are all lined up with each other. Repeat the above steps over and over again until there is no more paper to fold. After all of the paper is folded, make a crease near the bottom to create a handle. Then all you have to do is open the fan and you will have a portable origami fan.

Wall hangings are iconic elements of any interior decor. To make your own wall hanging, you will first need three different colors of thread, scissors, and a wooden dowel. First of all, you need to cut the balls of yarn to create threads. These wires should be twice as long as the wall hanging you are considering, as half the length of a wire will be used to tie it to the dowel.

You then need to hang the dowel, either by nailing it to the wall or hanging it on a protruding surface with a wire. Next, you need to tie the threads of yarn to the dowel to create the wall hanging. Create the design you want using the yarn strands you have. It may take a while to complete the wall hanging, but it is definitely something that can be done by anyone.

Diyas can also be made at home by following a few simple steps. First, take wheat flour in a bowl, add water to it, and then knead it. Keep kneading it until it forms a ball. Then you need to divide the kneaded flour into smaller parts. Shape these pieces in traditional Diya shapes. Pinch off a tip to create the teardrop shape where the wick will be placed.

To harden the Diyas, you need to bake them in the oven. Place the Diyas on a baking dish and bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Diya may swell during the cooking process. So keep checking the Diyas as they heat up and if you see puffs just push them up with a spoon. Once the Diyas are hard you can paint them to give them a unique design.
